About the role

Crane Supervisor Exeter We are currently recruiting for an experienced Crane Supervisor / Lift Supervisor for a busy civils project in Exeter. This is a hands-on role requiring strong leadership, safety awareness, and the ability to coordinate all lifting operations on site. Key Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate all lifting operations in line with lift plans and method statements Ensure all lifts are carried out safely and in compliance with LOLER and site procedures Brief and manage crane teams, including operators and slinger/signallers Carry out slinging and signalling duties when required (essential part of the role) Conduct pre-lift checks and ensure correct lifting accessories are used Maintain clear communication with site management and lifting teams Stop operations if unsafe practices are observed Ensure all documentation, permits, and lift plans are adhered to Requirements CPCS Blue Card – Crane Supervisor / Lift Supervisor (A62 or equivalent) CPCS Slinger/Signaller (A40) – essential Proven experience supervising lifting operations on civils/construction sites Strong understanding of lift plans, RAMS, and site safety procedures Good communication and leadership skills Safety Critical Medical (preferred on infrastructure projects) Desirable Experience in utilities, infrastructure, or large-scale civils projects Appointed Person knowledge (advantageous but not essential) Ability to step in and support the team operationally when required What We Offer Competitive day rate Long-term work potential Opportunity to work on a well-structured project with a strong team Apply For more information or to apply, contact: Michael – MMC Workforce Solutions πŸ“ž (phone number removed)
