Level 1 Teaching Assistant (Part-Time, Permanent) Location: Nailsea Salary: £21,012 - £22,903 (pro rata, depending on experience) Contract: Part-time, Permanent Start date: ASAP Monarch Education is proud to be recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and inclusive special education school in Nailsea, part of a well-established Multi Academy Trust. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated and compassionate individual to join a supportive team, working with children and young people who have Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The Role As a Level 1 Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils both inside and outside the classroom. You will work closely with teaching staff to help create a positive, nurturing learning environment that enables every child to thrive. Key responsibilities include: Supporting pupils with EHCPs and SEMH needs on a 1:1 or small group basis Assisting the class teacher with the delivery of tailored learning activities Promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing Helping to create a safe, structured and engaging learning environment Encouraging independence, confidence and social development Supporting with personal care where requiredAbout the School The school is a specialist provision committed to supporting pupils with additional needs to achieve their full potential.
