My client is growing, and looking for a Mechanical Building Services Design Engineer to strengthen their Southampton team.From new builds and refurbishments to plant upgrades and energy-efficiency projects, you’ll work on varied briefs that blend smart engineering with practical net zero thinking.The roleYou’ll own mechanical designs from concept and feasibility through to detailed design and technical delivery. Expect plenty of variety, real responsibility and the support of a collaborative design team.Carry out site surveys, condition surveys and technical investigationsDesign heating, hot and cold water, ventilation, cooling, drainage and low/zero-carbon systemsProduce AutoCAD drawings, specifications, equipment schedules and technical submissionsComplete design calculations using industry softwareSupport project management and contract administrationWhat you’ll bringWhether you’re stepping up or already operating at senior level, you’ll be confident taking ownership of mechanical design work and producing accurate, high-quality outputs.
