Network Engineer

Job Description Network Engineer /n London: Hybrid- 1-2 days onsite /n 12 months contract /n /n Top 3 non-negotiable Skills: /n Programming language-Python /n Familiar working with AI tools /n Understanding networking fundamentals- they need to know all the basis protocols like SSH, BGP, MPLS /n /n Minimum Qualifications- /n - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience. /n - 7+ years of experience in software engineering, test automation, or infrastructure engineering. /n - Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Go, C++, or Java), with hands-on experience adopting AI for coding and the capacity to rapidly master new development languages. /n - 5+ years of experience developing software on Linux-based operating systems. /n - 3+ years of experience developing automation and tools for network provisioning, deployment, and operations. /n - 3+ years of experience developing and understanding network device configurations for at least one vendor (e.g., Arista, Juniper, Cisco, Ciena, Infinera, Nokia). /n - Demonstrated knowledge of TCP, IPv4/6, routing protocols (BGP, MPLS, IS-IS, or similar), and related network services (e.g., DHCP, DNS). /n /n Preferred Qualifications- /n Experience with software and network debugging, profiling, and instrumentation techniques. /n Experience developing and understanding automation tools for network operations within a DevOps environment, including provisioning (e.g., ZTP), deployments, monitoring, remediation, and software push systems. /n Experience with configuration management and automation frameworks such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef. /n Demonstrated knowledge of Django and SQL databases.
