Job Role: Maintenance Plumber Location: Worksop Contract Length: 6 -12 Months Rate of Pay: Up to £28 per Hour About the Role We are seeking an experienced Plumber to support the operation, maintenance, and repair of a wide range of plumbing, mechanical building services, and engineering systems within a large, complex operational environment. The role involves ensuring critical plant and equipment remain safe, compliant, and fully operational while contributing to the delivery of high-quality maintenance services. Key Responsibilities * Carry out planned preventative maintenance, reactive repairs, fault finding, and minor installation works. * Diagnose and repair faults on plumbing and mechanical systems * Support water hygiene programmes, including monitoring and compliance activities. * Carry out inspections, testing, and statutory maintenance checks. * Assist with maintenance of specialist systems following appropriate training. * Liaise with contractors and provide technical advice relating to site services and infrastructure. * Complete maintenance records using electronic maintenance management systems. * Ensure all work is undertaken in accordance with health, safety, and compliance requirements. * Participate in an on-call rota and respond to emergency maintenance issues when required. * Support apprentices, trainees, and junior colleagues through mentoring and knowledge sharing. Maintain and service: * Hot and cold water systems * Heating systems * Ventilation and air conditioning systems * Compressed air systems * Gas systems * Steam systems and associated plant * Specialist plant and process equipment Skills & Experience * Qualified Plumber with relevant industry experience. * NVQ Level 2 and 3 within Plumbing * Strong background in plumbing maintenance within commercial, industrial, facilities management, healthcare, education, or public-sector environments. * Experience working on hot and cold water systems, heating systems, drainage, pumps, valves, and associated building services. * Ability to diagnose faults, read technical drawings, and resolve maintenance issues effectively. * Experience carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs. * Good understanding of water hygiene, compliance requirements, and health and safety legislation. * Competent IT skills, including the use of handheld devices and maintenance management systems. Additional Information * The role may involve working across multiple sites. * Participation in emergency call-out and on-call rotas is required. * Ongoing training and development opportunities are available to support career progression and specialist skills development
