A well-established engineering business operating one of the most significant marine facilities in the UK is looking for an experienced Project Planner to join an active team and support a busy programme of vessel projects.
The role is available immediately on a 3-to-6-month fixed term basis, and for the right person there's a realistic possibility of something longer.
What You'll Be Doing You'll build and maintain detailed project schedules in MS Project, translating vessel specifications into properly resourced plans and allocating labour, materials and equipment across live jobs.
Day to day, you'll be tracking progress, managing risks, producing S-curves, reports and planning documentation, and making sure all project stakeholders are kept informed.
There's also a commercial dimension, supporting bid planning and working alongside the commercial team on upcoming work.
It's a broad remit with genuine visibility across the business.
This isn't a back-office planning function.
What you produce has a direct bearing on how projects are delivered.
What You'll Need Practical experience in marine maintenance, repair or overhaul, including dry dock environments Strong MS Project skills A commercial planning background An engineering or shipbuilding background HNC as a minimum; degree preferred Clear communication and solid organisational skills Why It's Worth Your Time The facility handles complex, varied vessel work, the kind that keeps experienced planners genuinely engaged.
