Through our robust product engineering, outstanding tooling capabilities and diverse process expertise, we continue to bring lightweight and innovative products to market.Job Responsibilities:Position Summary:  Is responsible for leading the work-related development of the new manufacturing processes. The Advanced Manufacturing Engineer will:Develop concepts that include specification of equipment and make recommendations              for the technical selection of purchased equipment.Employ lean manufacturing principles to optimise effectiveness of our manufacturing operations to assure competitive pricing.Role Responsibilities: The role entails but is not limited to:-Technical lead for the new equipment proposalsCollaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SME) to develop standards to improve Statement of Requirements (SORs)Develop and standardise documentation from concept to production.Work with the cross functional teamsPrepare and update equipment SORs and technical comparisons.Maintain list of equipment suppliers with Purchasing DepartmentIdentify new suppliers and verify capabilitiesSummarise equipment and installation costs for quoting new businessStandardise components to minimise spare parts inventory costsLead the CAPEX based on purchasing of equipment and facilitate timing and budgetLead major projects installations for other functions such as maintenanceLead Machine FMEA and PFMEA for major equipmentApply AQPQ Product MethodologyApply DFMA Skills Creating Full Product Process Implementing AutomationCreate Cycle grams & Utilisation charts per processCost Analysis & Budget controlEmploy Lean Manufacturing MethodsUtilise work methods and instructions through standardised workSupport equipment layout to optimise product flow and minimise unnecessary movement through VSMUtilise Lean Manufacturing methods and efficient product flow and apply Six sigma.Develop pre-production packaging solutions for WIP and Finished GoodsProject Manage equipment suppliers, build, installation and acceptanceLead equipment project timelines. Manage on time delivery, within budget.Lead the equipment drawing review and approval process with supplier. Review equipment drawings with SMEs and approve/reject based on reviewProvide timely review and feedback to supplierSupport and document equipment run-off at suppliers prior to shipmentSupport and document equipment run-off on-site at CCUK Final Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Taking Over Certificate.Comfortable managing changeOther ResponsibilitiesKnows and understands process documentation and customer specific requirements as they related to the program and/or equipmentPrepare and present material for program review meetingsLead and coordinate with Department Leaders in preparation of RFQs and proposals, statement of work and specifications and execution of contract requirementsUphold the company Fair Enterprise and Employee Charter principlesPerforms other duties as requiredPromote the companies HSE policies across the department and plant.The above is an outline of the duties to be performed and the incumbent will be expected to follow any job-related instructions and to perform any other job-related duties as requested by their supervisor.Qualifications and Experience: Knowledge and EducationBachelor’s Degree preferred with an Engineering focusFamiliar with the equipment tendering processProven experience in leading the FMEA process for the manufacturing process along with major equipment purchasesIn-depth understanding of Lean Manufacturing methodologies and how to apply them in practiceProject Management qualifications is advantageousWork ExperienceExperience in the die casting, injection moulding or stamping field within the automotive manufacturing industryProject management experienceStrong organisational and leadership skillsStrong understanding of business finance and metricsGood interpersonal skillsExcellent oral and written communication skillsAbility to work in a fast-passed working environmentFundamental computer skills using Microsoft Office Suite (including MS Project)Demonstrates the ability to work effectively in a team environmentWell organised with the ability to work effectively under pressure.Able to work well with others; build and maintain positive employee relationsAble to maintain confidentiality, and use discretion and tactAble to manage and schedule multiple priorities and meet deadlinesHonest with a high level of integrityFull driving licenceEligibility to work in the UKWork environment:Primarily manufacturing plant shop floor and office.  Plant conditions necessitate exposure to heat, cold, dust, hot objects, and loud noises within our manufacturing environment.
