We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Pastry Chef to join a respected artisan bakery in London. This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a hands-on leadership role, supporting the day-to-day running of pastry production while maintaining exceptional standards of quality and consistency.
Working closely with the senior team, you will oversee production across both retail and wholesale operations, supervising a small team and ensuring a smooth and efficient service. The role has a strong focus on laminated doughs and Danish production, with lamination carried out by hand, alongside the production of simple cakes and biscuits. You will be responsible for monitoring quality, troubleshooting where needed, and ensuring high standards are maintained across all products.

Salary of £37,440
45-hour contracted week (flexibility required)
Shifts typically starting between 12pm-3pm and finishing between 8pm-midnight

The Person
The successful Senior Pastry Chef will have the following:
Previous experience within a pastry production or bakery environment
Experience in a senior pastry role or supervisory position
Strong technical knowledge, particularly in laminated doughs and Danish production
A quality-focused approach with the ability to identify and resolve issues
Ideally experience within a hotel or similar high-standard environment
A flexible approach to working hours
Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail
A positive, hands-on attitude with good communication skills
