What you'll be doing
As the Plant & Logistics Operations Specialist, you'll act as a key point of contact for our project teams, ensuring plant and equipment requirements are effectively planned, managed and optimised across the Power Transmission & Distribution business.Key responsibilities will include:Producing short, medium and long-term plant demand plans across the business.Working closely with project teams to understand upcoming plant requirements and resource needs.Liaising with Asset and Technology Solutions (ATS) regarding plant availability, utilisation and operational issues.Monitoring plant utilisation and identifying opportunities to reduce costs through improved planning and off-hiring practices.Supporting projects with queries relating to plant charges, utilisation, damage reduction initiatives and plant suspension processes.Contributing to plant development and safety improvement initiatives.Supporting the specification and introduction of new plant and equipment.Working with UK and European suppliers to ensure plant solutions meet operational requirements.Identifying and delivering cost-saving initiatives across the PT&D business.Attending project and operational meetings as required.Providing support on vehicle and PPE-related matters when needed.
Who we're looking for
We're seeking a proactive and organised individual who can build strong relationships across a variety of stakeholders while maintaining a focus on efficiency, safety and continuous improvement.Experience planning, coordinating or monitoring plant, fleet or vehicle usage.Previous experience in a technical role involving plant, equipment or asset specifications.Strong organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and Word.Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.Full UK driving licence.Willingness to travel to project sites as required.Knowledge of plant, fleet and PPE used within the Power Transmission & Distribution sector.Experience working on infrastructure, utilities, construction or power projects.Understanding of Power Transmission & Distribution working practices.
