Development Director - Estates & Regeneration

Rate: £700 per dayDuration: 6 Months (Initial)IR35: Inside (Umbrella required)

Senior leadership role responsible for directing a large-scale estates regeneration programme within a Higher Education environment.

We are seeking an experienced Commercial / Development professional to provide strategic leadership across estates, facilities and capital development activities. The role will drive commercial value, oversee major contracts and support the long-term regeneration and optimisation of a complex, multi-site campus estate.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead commercial strategy across estates and facilities, ensuring value, compliance and financial control
• Direct commercial aspects of major regeneration, capital and refurbishment projects
• Oversee procurement, tendering, contract negotiation and supplier management
• Manage large FM, construction, maintenance and infrastructure contracts
• Lead supplier performance, KPIs, SLAs and continuous improvement
• Provide senior-level commercial advice to academic and executive stakeholders

Essential Experience

• Senior commercial / development management experience within estates or the built environment xwzovoh
• Higher Education sector experience essential
• Proven track record on major estates development or regeneration projects
• Strong contract management, financial and negotiation skills
• Experience with FM services, estates operations and compliance

Desirable

• RICS, CIPS, IWFM or equivalent
• NEC or JCT contracts
• Sustainability or estates strategy experience
