Class 2A+ Building Control Surveyor – Fully Remote (Contract) We’re looking for an experienced Class 2A Building Control Surveyor to join a high-performing team delivering Local Authority Building Control services. This is a fully remote opportunity offering flexibility, strong rates, and the chance to work on impactful schemes. The Role You’ll be responsible for supporting and overseeing compliance on domestic projects, ensuring work meets current building regulations and safety standards. You’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, providing expert guidance across all project stages. Key Responsibilities * Assess and approve plans in line with Building Regulations for Class 2A projects * Conduct remote plan checks and provide technical advice * Work closely with clients, designers, and contractors to ensure regulatory compliance * Maintain accurate documentation and reporting standards Requirements * Registered Building Inspector (Class 2A) or equivalent competence * Strong working knowledge of the Building Regulations * Proven experience in building control on complex residential/mixed-use schemes * Excellent communication and report-writing skills * Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment Contract Details * Location: Fully Remote (UK-based) * Duration: 3-month rolling contract * Hours: Part-time or Full-time options available * Rate: Up to £60 per hour (Inside IR35) This is a great opportunity for a skilled surveyor looking for flexibility while contributing to critical safety-focused projects.
