Estimator - Main Contractor (North West) Location: Salford Salary: £28,000 - £45,000 (DOE) + Car Allowance (up to £4,000) + Benefits The Company Our client is a well-established regional main contractor based in Salford, delivering construction projects across the North West. They specialise in working with Blue Light services and Public Sector clients, with typical project values up to £500K (and occasionally higher). The Opportunity This role is ideal for someone at the early stage of their estimating career who is looking to develop within a supportive environment. You'll work closely with an experienced estimating team and gain exposure to the full tendering process. Key Responsibilities Preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates for commercial construction projects Reviewing drawings, specifications, and tender documentation Obtaining, analysing, and comparing subcontractor and supplier quotations Producing full cost breakdowns and supporting tender submissions Liaising with internal teams, architects, and clients throughout the tender process Demonstrating strong commercial awareness and cost control Maintaining clear and organised records of estimates and quotations About You Some experience in construction estimating (contractor-side preferred) Ambitious, motivated, and keen to build a long-term career Strong attention to detail and numerical skills Good communication skills and a team-oriented approach Eager to learn and develop within a growing business What's on Offer Salary up to £45,000 depending on experience Car allowance up to £4,000 Standard pension and holiday package Office-based role (8:00am - 4:30pm) Clear progression opportunities within a growing contractor
