My client is a distinctive style elegant venue, boutique in vision but a 4* luxury property. Part of a small group of independent wedding venues.
The Job Role.....
As a Sous Chef you will be reporting to the Head Chef, assisting the brigade in the smooth running of daily weddings & events with operations.
Preparation of high quality food ensuring the highest standards are met at all times, in line with company regulations. Being a team player with a flexible nature to be able to assist colleagues and training chefs in the art of Volume banqueting with maintaining the highest quality
You will be organising the banqueting section ensuring that all events run smoothly, adequately staffed and quality control on all consumables that leave the kitchen. Assisting in the smooth running of restaurant service.

Your Responsibilities as a Sous Chef....
Striving towards quality & consistency in a busy environment to Rosette standard cooking,
Maintain Health & Hygiene standards as company regulations dictate
Flexible, work in a team and be able to work on various sections within the kitchen.
Adaptable to a changing environment and be able to react with speed whilst maintaining standards, with a cool demeanour.
Running large events and weddings to a 5 star standard.
The ideal Sous Chef...
Minimum 5yrs in a Hotel environment as Sous level
Previous experience in a similar role, specifically in banqueting weddings or large catering operations
Experienced in cooking for large functions & events
Experienced within the Pastry section would be beneficial
Flexible approach as there will be a requirement to work on a shift basis, including evenings & weekends.
Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining a positive can do attitude.
Passionate about the industry, with good knowledge of the Hotel industry.
Creative flair with a passion for high standards.
Ultimately team player, with a reliable and caring attitude.
Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate
Driving Licence and own vehicle essential for this position due to location.
