Job Purpose:

Outsource UK’s client are a global bulk liquid storage and transportation firm who are looking to hire a number of Control and Instrumentation Engineers to join their team. You will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and improving control and instrumentation systems, ensuring effective, efficient, and safe operations, also providing technical support across operations, maintenance, and projects, ensuring adherence to engineering standards and driving performance improvements

Key Responsibilities:

  • System Management: Maintain and improve SCADA, PLC, DCS, and IACS systems, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Installation & Commissioning: Oversee the installation and commissioning of new control systems or upgrades.
  • Technical Support: Troubleshoot and resolve issues with instrumentation and control systems. Provide support for system maintenance, backup, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Documentation: Review and prepare technical documents, including system specifications, engineering deliverables, and commissioning procedures.
  • Vendor & Contractor Management: Coordinate with vendors and contractors to ensure proper system troubleshooting and issue resolution.
  • Health, Safety & Compliance: Adhere to safety standards, including COMAH requirements, and ensure all tasks meet company policies and procedures.


Essential Qualifications & Experience:

  • Relevant experience in control and instrumentation systems. (Ideally within COMAH environment)
  • Experience with DCS/PLC/SCADA system design, installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
  • Familiarity with fieldbus protocols (Modbus, Profibus, etc.) and industrial networking. xwzovoh
  • Ability to review and produce technical documents such as schematics, loop drawings, and system specifications.
