Accounts assistant

Your new company A well-established and growing organisation is looking to appoint an experienced Accounts Assistant / Bookkeeper to join its friendly finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented finance professional to take ownership of key transactional finance processes within a supportive and collaborative environment.Your new role Reporting into the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day finance operations. Duties will include: Processing a high volume of purchase invoices accurately and efficiently Managing supplier queries and maintaining strong supplier relationships Preparing weekly payment runs Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies Monitoring and maintaining finance inboxes Processing employee expenses and ensuring appropriate approvals are in place Reconciling company credit card transactions Assisting with banking activities and account reconciliations Supporting the wider finance team with ad hoc bookkeeping and accounting tasksWhat you'll need to succeed Previous experience within a Bookkeeping, Accounts Assistant position Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy Good working knowledge of Excel and accounting systems Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Strong communication skills and a proactive approach AAT qualification or equivalent experience would be advantageousWhat you'll get in return Permanent opportunity with a stable and established business Supportive team environment Opportunity to develop your finance skills further Free onsite parking Office-based role with standard Monday to Friday working hoursWhat you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.
