About the Role

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced and detail-oriented AAT/ACCA-qualified accountant to join the team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients and ensuring compliance with UK tax regulations and statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and submit: Self-assessment tax returns
Corporation tax returns
VAT returns

Manage client payroll accurately and within deadlines
Ensure compliance with HMRC and Companies House regulations
Maintain and manage accounting records using: Sage
QuickBooks
Xero

Provide general accounting support, guidance, and advice to clients
Handle bookkeeping and financial reporting tasks across multiple client accounts

Requirements

Minimum AAT qualification (ACCA qualified or part-qualified preferred)
Proficiency in Sage, QuickBooks, and Xero
Strong knowledge of UK tax regulations and accounting standards
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple client accounts

Desirable Skills

Previous experience working in an accountancy practice
Familiarity with additional accounting software

Experience Required

At least 1 year of experience in: Self-assessment tax returns
VAT returns
Payroll
Bookkeeping
Accounts preparation and corporation tax returns

Additional Requirements

Fluent in English
AAT/ACCA certification required
Ability to reliably commute to Gerrards Cross, Buckinghamshire or relocate prior to starting
