About the role
Morson Talent is supporting a key client in the Plymouth area with the recruitment of a Quantity Surveyor to support the delivery of engineering and maintenance projects within a regulated environment.

This role will focus on the commercial administration of NEC4 contracts, supporting Project Managers in the effective control of cost, risk, and contractual compliance across the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the administration of NEC4 Engineering and Construction Contracts (Option E preferred)
- Assist in the management of compensation events and early warning processes (CEMAR)
- Prepare and maintain cost forecasts, budgets, and cost reports
- Monitor project spend and highlight variances and risks
- Support procurement activities, including preparation of tender documentation and evaluation of submissions
- Assist in the management of subcontractor accounts, including valuations and payments
- Contribute to the preparation and agreement of final accounts
- Provide day-to-day commercial support to Project Managers and delivery teams
- Maintain accurate commercial records and documentation
- Ensure compliance with contractual requirements, company procedures, and industry standards
Requirements
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
- 3-5 years' experience in a Quantity Surveying role
- Working knowledge of NEC contracts (NEC4)
- Experience or exposure to compensation events and change management
- Familiarity with CEMAR or similar contract management systems (desirable)
- Background in engineering, infrastructure, or regulated environments preferred
- Strong numerical, analytical, and organisational skills
- Ability to work within a project xwzovoh team and manage priorities effectively
Desirable
- Progressing toward or interest in professional accreditation (e.g. RICS)
- Experience within marine, defence, or highly regulated sectors
