A unique independent luxury venue in Hertfordshire is recruiting a Floor Manager to join its fast-paced Granary Kitchen. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a diverse hospitality business with multiple restaurants, events spaces, a hotel, and a strong focus on sustainability and guest experience.
The Floor Manager will play a key role in leading the front-of-house team, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and delivering high standards of service. This role suits a hands-on and motivated hospitality professional who thrives in a busy environment and enjoys developing a team.
The Granary Kitchen is a casual, quick-service dining space serving breakfast, lunch, coffees, and cakes, open 7 days a week. With most services finishing by 6pm, this role offers a better work-life balance with minimal late evenings.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the day-to-day running of the restaurant, ensuring excellent service standards at all times.
Lead shifts, delegating tasks and supporting the team during busy service periods.
Set and maintain high standards of efficient, fast-paced service.
Train, mentor, and develop team members to achieve consistent excellence.
Work towards and support budgetary targets.
Liaise closely with the kitchen team regarding menus, feedback, and bookings.
Handle guest queries and resolve any issues professionally.
Monitor rotas to ensure correct staffing levels.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the restaurant.Key Requirements:Previous experience in a hospitality management role within a fast-paced environment.
Strong leadership skills with a hands-on approach.
Ability to train and develop team members effectively.
Flexible and adaptable to the needs of the business.
High standards of presentation and professionalism.
Willingness to work varied shifts across 5 days from 7.
