People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Doncaster, South Yorkshire .

This role would suit applicants seeking a position as an LGV Class 1 Driver , Category CE Driver , or Articulated Lorry Driver .
Shifts:
Monday to Friday
05:00 starts
Rates of Pay:
£16.48 per hour (basic)
£24.72 per hour (after 48 hours)
£25.00 per night out

Day-to-Day Duties:
As an HGV Class 1 Driver, your duties will include (but are not limited to):
Carrying out RDC deliveries (curtain-side, no handball required)
Operating and driving Class 1 vehicles safely and efficiently
Completing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
Ensuring all loads are correctly secured
Adhering to UK traffic laws and transport regulations
Communicating effectively with dispatch and customers
Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance issues
Assisting with loading and unloading when required
Essential Skills:
To be successful as an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will need:
A valid UK Category CE driving licence
A minimum of 24 months' experience driving Category CE vehicles
No more than six penalty points for minor offences (no major endorsement codes)
A valid UK CPC card and digital tachograph card
A good level of spoken and written English
Excellent punctuality and time-keeping skills
A strong understanding of road safety and traffic regulations
Effective communication skills
Desirable Experience:
Previous commercial driving experience
Previous multi-drop delivery experience
Training:
Driver assessment required prior to starting
One-day paid induction following a successful assessment
Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your assignment
