Tradewind are currently recruiting for a committed and engaging Year 1 Teacher to join a highly regarded and welcoming primary school in South Manchester on a full-time basis from the end of May.
You will take full responsibility for a Year 1 class through to the end of the academic year. This is a full-time role, paid in line with MPS1-MPS6. The school is known for its strong sense of community, high expectations, and focus on delivering a rich and engaging curriculum. There is a particular emphasis on early reading, phonics, and developing confident, independent learners within a nurturing and supportive environment.

The ideal candidate will have:
Experience teaching within KS1, with a secure understanding of the Primary National Curriculum
Confidence in delivering high-quality phonics sessions (experience with schemes such as Read Write Inc. or Little Wandle is desirable)
A nurturing and inclusive approach, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families
Experience delivering engaging and differentiated lessons across core subjects
Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a calm, purposeful learning environment
Excellent communication skills and a proactive, team-focused attitudeEssential requirements:
QTS (or an equivalent teaching qualification)
Recent experience teaching in KS1, supported by strong references
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
