Nursery Manager Salary: From £44,000 per year Hours: Full-time (38 hours/week) Contract: Permanent About the Role This is a bilingual nursery providing high-quality care and education for children aged 8 months to 4 years. The Nursery is seeking an experienced and motivated Nursery Manager to lead our team. This is a supernumerary leadership role, focused on managing the nursery, supporting staff, and ensuring outstanding standards of care and education. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the day-to-day running of the nursery Ensure compliance with EYFS, safeguarding, and Ofsted requirements Manage, support, and develop staff through supervision and appraisals Build strong relationships with parents and handle queries professionally Oversee curriculum delivery (EYFS & Montessori approach) Maintain accurate records, reports, and administrative systems Ensure health & safety standards and risk assessments are followed Support occupancy targets and general nursery operations Qualifications & Experience Minimum Level 3 Childcare qualification (required) Level 5, Level 6, BA in Early Years, or EYTS/EYPS (preferred) Experience as a Nursery Manager (1+ year) or Deputy Manager (3+ years) Strong knowledge of EYFS framework Experience in team leadership and staff management Confident working in partnership with parents Skills & Attributes Strong leadership and organisational skills Excellent communication (written and spoken English essential) Positive, proactive, and team-focused attitude Ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively Benefits 7 weeks paid holiday (increasing with service) Paid sick leave Christmas bonus Free healthy meals and lunches Cycle to Work scheme If this role of ‘Nursery Manager’ sparks your interest, please apply by contacting Mike Koutsofta at GSL Education.
