Job Title: Yard Operative / Driver

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00

Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour

Job Summary:

The Yard Operative / Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient movement of vehicles within the site and between designated locations. This role plays a key part in ensuring smooth yard operations, maintaining organization, and supporting the overall flow of vehicles through the facility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely move vehicles around the yard and to designated areas as required.
• Drive vehicles between locations in line with operational needs.
• Park vehicles in allocated spaces, ensuring the yard remains organized and accessible.
• Conduct basic vehicle checks before movement, reporting any damage or issues.
• Assist with loading and unloading vehicles where required.
• Follow all site procedures, traffic management rules, and health and safety guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the yard environment.
• Work closely with site teams to ensure efficient vehicle flow and turnaround.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Full UK driving license (essential).
• Confident driving a range of vehicle types, including manual and automatic.
• Good awareness of safety and attention to detail.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Strong organizational skills and reliability.

Experience:

• Previous experience in a driving, yard, or automotive environment is desirable but not essential.
• Experience handling multiple vehicles in a fast-paced environment is an advantage.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to be on your feet for extended periods.
• Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Ability to carry out light manual tasks when required.
