Secondary SEMH Teaching Assistant – Immediate Start

  • Location: Central Bristol
  • Type: Full-Time, Temporary (Until End of Academic Year)
  • Competitive Daily Pay Rate

We are looking to appoint a reliable and experienced Secondary SEMH Teaching Assistant to work within a SEMH provision in central Bristol, supporting students who require consistent structure and emotional support. This role is ideal for someone confident working across outreach, enrichment, and 1:1 support, and who can build positive, trusting relationships with young people.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Supporting students during outreach and enrichment activities in the mornings.
  • Delivering 1:1 SEMH support in the afternoons.
  • Encouraging engagement, emotional regulation, and positive behaviour.
  • Supporting students both on-site and in community-based settings.
  • Working as part of a multidisciplinary team.

The role is full-time and available for an immediate start, running through to the end of the academic year.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting students with SEN/SEMH.
  • Experience working with secondary-aged pupils.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
  • Two professional references, covering the last 2 years.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle with business insurance.
  • Confident managing behaviour and supporting emotional needs.
