We are looking for a committed and knowledgeable Maths Teacher to provide high-quality teaching in line with the national curriculum and school expectations. The role involves delivering engaging lessons, tracking student progress, and supporting learners with a range of abilities. The successful candidate will foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment, encourage active participation, and uphold high standards of behaviour and achievement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging mathematics lessons that cater to a range of abilities and align with the national curriculum.
  • Assess, record, and report on student progress, offering clear and constructive feedback to both students and parents/carers.
  • Develop and prepare schemes of work, lesson plans, and teaching resources.
  • Maintain a safe, supportive, and well-managed classroom environment.
  • Identify individual learning needs and implement targeted support or interventions where necessary.
  • Uphold school values and consistently follow safeguarding, health, and safety policies.

Essential Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • A degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject.
  • Experience teaching GCSE Maths at secondary level.

Experience

  • Experience teaching Mathematics in a secondary school setting, ideally across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Proven ability to plan, deliver, and assess lessons that support student progress.
  • Familiarity with school procedures and effective classroom management techniques.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Strong subject knowledge, including curriculum requirements and assessment frameworks.
  • Effective classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities when working with students, staff, and parents/carers. xwzovoh
