Vehicle Technician and MOT Tester (Full time) / (Part time)

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated MOT Tester to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and be adept at using various hand and power tools. As an MOT Tester, you will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections of vehicles to ensure they meet safety and environmental standards. This role requires attention to detail, a commitment to quality, and the ability to perform heavy lifting as needed.

*Duties*

* Conduct MOT tests on a variety of vehicles in accordance with legal requirements and industry standards.
* Inspect vehicle components, including brakes, lights, steering, and suspension systems.
* Use diagnostic equipment and tools to identify issues and assess vehicle performance.
* Document test results accurately and provide clear feedback to customers regarding any necessary repairs or maintenance.
* Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring all tools and equipment are in good working condition.
* Collaborate with colleagues to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality service delivery.

*Requirements*

* Proven experience as an MOT Tester or in a similar role within the automotive industry.
* Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform repairs as necessary.
* Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
* Capability to perform heavy lifting when required.
* Excellent attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills.
* Valid MOT testing licence is essential.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £42,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
