Associate Procurement Professional

Associate Procurement Professional | Desford | Contract / 12 Months | 37.5 Hours per week / £25.65 | Onsite | Are you an experienced procurement professional, or looking to build your career within a fast-paced manufacturing environment? We're looking for an organised and detail-focused Associate Procurement Professional to join a busy purchasing team supporting a large-scale manufacturing operation in Desford.

Working closely with suppliers, buyers, finance and internal stakeholders, you'll play a key role in keeping purchasing activity running smoothly across production and supporting the wider supply chain.

The Role:
*Raise and manage purchase orders for production requirements across a large portfolio of parts and suppliers.
*Review and validate supplier quotes from category buyers across the UK and North America.
*Take ownership of assigned commodities and purchasing activity from order placement through to invoice resolution.
*Investigate and resolve invoice and payment issues, working with suppliers and Accounts Payable to prevent delays to deliveries and production.
*Work closely with internal teams to resolve purchasing and supplier queries.
*Collect and analyse purchasing data to support projects, process improvements and business decisions.
*Present project findings and recommendations to internal stakeholders.
*Follow established purchasing processes and support internal and external audit requirements.

What We're Looking For:
*Previous experience in procurement, purchasing, buying, supply chain administration or a similar commercial environment.
*Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to working within defined processes.
*Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with suppliers and internal teams.
*A proactive approach with the confidence to take ownership of issues and see them through to resolution.
*Comfortable working in a structured, process-driven and compliance-focused manufacturing environment.
*Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Desirable:
*Experience within manufacturing, automotive, engineering or another production-led environment.
*Experience using SAP or other procurement / purchasing systems.
*Power BI or experience working with purchasing and supplier data.
*Experience managing supplier, commodity or parts portfolios.
*Degree qualified is preferred, but not essential.
