Functional Reporting Line: Global Head of People

Location: Aberdeen

Position Grade: E

The Senior HR Advisor will act as the first point of contact for HR matters across the UK OpCo. The role will support the Global Head of People in delivering HR initiatives and may also provide operational HR support across the wider UK employee population, including CIU and Group led activities, as required. The role is responsible for delivering day to day HR support to managers and employees, ensuring consistent application of policies and a positive employee experience, while escalating complex or strategic matters to the Global Head of People.

Principal Accountabilities

General HR Support

  • Act as the first point of contact for HR queries, providing practical advice and guidance to managers and employees
  • Support delivery of core HR processes across the employee lifecycle
  • Ensure consistent application of HR policies and procedures
  • Prioritise UK OpCo requirements while supporting wider UK populations as needed

Employee Relations

  • Provide support on employee relations matters including absence, performance, disciplinary, and grievance cases
  • Work with managers to resolve issues promptly and fairly
  • Escalate complex, sensitive, or high risk cases to the Global Head of People

Manager Support

  • Guide line managers on HR best practice and people management
  • Support managers in day-to-day people matters and decision making
  • Build management capability through coaching and practical support

HR Processes & Administration

  • Maintain accurate employee records and documentation
  • Liaise with payroll and benefits to ensure data accuracy where required
  • Assist with reporting and HR metrics as needed

Engagement & Development

  • Support employee engagement initiatives and local activities
  • Assist with performance review processes and development discussions

Projects & Continuous Improvement

  • Support delivery of HR projects and initiatives led by the Global Head of People
  • Contribute to Group and CIU-related initiatives where required
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and ways of working

  • Line managers and employees across UK OpCo
  • CIU and Group UK-based employees (as required)
  • Global Head of People
  • Wider HR team (e.g. Payroll, Benefits)

Skills & Experience

  • Experience in an HR generalist or advisory role
  • Good understanding of UK employment law and HR practices
  • Experienced in HRIS administration and optimisation
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment
  • Practical, solutions focused approach
