About the Role

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will support students who require additional help to access the curriculum. Working closely with teaching staff, you will help create a positive learning environment where students feel supported, included, and able to succeed.

Your role will involve supporting learning in the classroom as well as delivering targeted interventions where needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting students in lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
• Providing tailored support to students with SEND and additional needs
• Assisting with behaviour support and classroom engagement
• Running small group or one-to-one interventions
• Helping students build confidence, independence, and motivation
• Working collaboratively with teachers, pastoral teams, and external professionals

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, supportive, and able to build positive relationships with young people.

You may be suitable if you:

• Have experience working with children or young people
• Are interested in education, SEND, or youth support work
• Can demonstrate patience, resilience, and adaptability
• Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Hold a degree or relevant qualification (desirable but not essential)
