Functional Skills Tutor - Maths and English

Job Title: Functional Skills Tutor – Maths and English Location: Centre based Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 (Depending on skills and experience) Type: Full-time, Permanent Essential Criteria: * Must hold a Level 5 Teaching qualification. * Experience of delivering Functional Skills Maths OR English up to Level 2. * Must hold own Level 3 qualification in Maths and/or English. * Must have experience of delivering training to small groups of learners * Strong admin skills (ILPs, progress tracking and monitoring) Duties: * Deliver engaging Functional Skills Maths and/or English sessions within a classroom environment (up to Level 2).Utilise existing delivery resources, as well as preparing own when required. * Deliver engaging training sessions and provide ongoing IAG to learners. * The successful candidate will be flexible with their delivery methods, providing differentiation and be able to adapt quickly to learners needs. * Assist learners in identifying the skills required to progress towards their career aspirations. * The successful candidate must be engaging and able to demonstrate energy and passion to motivate / train clients in order to help learners realise their potential. * Promote Equality and Diversity, Safeguarding and Health and Safety.
