Automation & Metallics Engineer 📍 Broughton (Onsite) 💷 £28.71 PAYE / £38.40 Umbrella 📅 12-Month Contract (Likely Extension) We’re recruiting for an Automation & Metallics Engineer to join a Manufacturing Technologies team, supporting advanced production through automation and robotics. The Role * Deploy and support automated machinery in complex assembly environments * Develop automated processes (drilling, fastening, cold-working, sealing) * Work with robotics, Cartesian systems, and cobots * Define and introduce new machinery in line with safety standards * Provide technical support and continuous improvement to existing equipment * Lead and support automation-focused projects What We’re Looking For * Degree in Engineering (or equivalent experience) * Background in automation and/or robotics * Knowledge of manufacturing processes * Understanding of Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER) and REACH Regulation * Project management experience * Strong problem-solving skills (PPS) * Data analysis skills with tools like Minitab or Skywise * Good communication and stakeholder management What You’ll Get * 35-hour working week (4.5 days, flexible between 7am–7pm) * Paid overtime (25% weekdays, 50% weekends) * 12-month contract with strong extension potential * Opportunity to work on advanced automation projects Additional Info * BPSS+ clearance required * 1-stage onsite interview process * Immediate CV review and fast feedback
