About the role

Behaviour Mentor Location: NW2, London Pay: £90 – £110 per day Start Date: ASAP Do you have experience mentoring, coaching, supporting, or working 1:1 with young people? Are you confident building relationships, managing challenging behaviour, and helping students stay engaged and motivated? Apex Educ8 is currently recruiting for a Behaviour Mentor to join a supportive and welcoming school in NW2, London. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about making a real difference in young people’s lives while gaining valuable experience within education. The school is looking for a strong role model who can support students both academically and emotionally, helping them overcome barriers to learning and positively engage within the school environment. The Role: As a Behaviour Mentor, you will: * Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with behavioural and emotional needs * Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils * Support students with emotional regulation, confidence, and engagement * Help manage challenging behaviour using positive behaviour strategies * Work closely with teaching staff, SEN teams, and pastoral staff * Encourage students to stay focused, motivated, and on task * Create a safe, calm, and supportive environment for learning This Role Would Suit Candidates With Backgrounds In: * Behaviour Mentoring * Youth Work * Sports Coaching * Teaching Assistance * Support Work * Care Work * Outreach Work * 1:1 Tutoring or Mentoring * SEMH Support * Psychology Graduates * Coaching or Community-Based Roles The Ideal Candidate: * Confident working with young people * Calm, resilient, and patient under pressure * Strong behaviour management and communication skills * Passionate about supporting students who may need additional guidance * Able to build rapport quickly and act as a positive role model * Arabic speaking is a bonus due to the school’s high cohort of EAL students What the School Offers: * Supportive leadership and welcoming staff team * Ongoing training and development opportunities * Valuable classroom and pastoral experience * Opportunity to make a genuine impact on students’ progress and wellbeing * Immediate start available * Excellent transport links in NW2 This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in education, psychology, youth support, or pastoral care.
