Our teams provide dedicated, specialist support throughout the research and innovation lifecycle to help sustain and advance UCL’s position as a world-class, research-led university.About the roleWithin ISD, this post is in the Chief Information Security Office (CISO) which leads on all aspects of security at UCL. CISO is divided into two teams covering Security Operations and Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC).This role sits within the GRC team and will give you the opportunity to participate in the delivery of a comprehensive range of Information Security Governance, Risk and Compliance services to the UCL community. You will support activities including security governance, risk assessments, compliance reviews, policy development, awareness and training, whilst proactively promoting and achieving compliance with UCL's security requirements in a pragmatic and solution-oriented manner.About youAs the ideal candidate you will have a mix of the following skills and experience:Experience supporting structured IT or information security services, including responding to security-related requests, queries or incidents.A good understanding of core IT concepts, such as networks, operating systems, authentication and cloud services.Awareness of information security controls, technologies and good practice, and how they support risk management and compliance activities.Experience contributing to policy, governance, assurance, compliance or risk management activities.Experience developing or delivering training, guidance or awareness materials for a range of audiences.Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Relevant degree, professional qualification or equivalent experience.What we offerAs well as the exciting opportunities this role presents, we also offer some great benefits some of which are below:41 Days holiday (27 days annual leave 8 bank holiday and 6 closure days).
