Damp & Mould Operative – Housing Maintenance Contract 📍 London / Greater London 💷 Up to £38,000 + Van + Fuel Card Overview Working for a large property services contractor Supporting a London-based social housing contract Delivering damp, mould and condensation remediation works Working across occupied residential housing stock Improving health, safety and living conditions for residents Using mobile digital systems to record works and progress Part of a long-term housing maintenance framework Key Responsibilities Carry out damp, mould and condensation inspections Identify root causes of moisture and ventilation issues Treat affected areas using approved anti-mould methods Complete patch plastering and surface preparation works Undertake painting and redecoration in affected areas Carry out minor repairs including sealing and finishing works Record all job details using PDA/mobile reporting systems Liaise with supervisors and planners to manage workload Communicate professionally with residents in occupied homes Provide reassurance and clear explanations to tenants Ensure all works meet required quality standards Comply fully with Health & Safety procedures and PPE use Work safely in occupied residential environments Support efficient delivery of responsive repair services Participate in out-of-hours/emergency rota when required Requirements Experience in damp & mould remediation or general maintenance Strong skills in decorating, painting or plastering Understanding of condensation, damp and ventilation issues Full UK driving licence Own basic hand tools Good customer service and communication skills Ability to work independently in occupied properties Strong awareness of Health & Safety in social housing Benefits Salary up to £38,000 (DOE) Company van and fuel card (business use) 23 days holiday + bank holidays Employee referral bonus scheme Long service recognition awards Retail and wellbeing discounts platform Paid volunteering day annually Training and progression opportunities Apply If you are an experienced Damp & Mould Operative or Multi-Trade Operative looking for a stable role within a long-term housing contract, apply now with your CV
