Behaviour Specialist
Birmingham (accessible via public transport, with a short walk for non-drivers)
£115-£120 per day
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Full-time, long-term temp-to-perm (Full Academic Year)
Long Term Futures is seeking a resilient and dedicated Behaviour Specialist to work within a secondary school in Birmingham, supporting pupils across KS3 and KS4 with SEMH needs. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone passionate about making a difference to young people who require additional behavioural and emotional support.

About the Role
Working closely with teaching staff, the SENCo, and pastoral teams, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
* Supporting students with SEMH needs both in and out of the classroom
* Managing and de-escalating challenging behaviour in line with school policies
* Building positive, trusting relationships with pupils to support engagement
* Providing 1:1 and small group interventions focused on behaviour and emotional regulation
* Supporting pupils to reintegrate into lessons following periods of dysregulation
* Monitoring behaviour and progress, providing feedback to staff and parents where required
* Promoting positive behaviour, resilience, and social development
* Working collaboratively with staff to implement behaviour support strategies
Ideal Candidate Profile
* Experience working with secondary-aged pupils with SEMH needs
* Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to de-escalate effectively
* Calm, patient, and resilient when faced with challenging situations
* Able to build rapport while maintaining clear and consistent boundaries
* Committed to a long-term role - consistency is key for these pupils
* Proactive and adaptable, with a strong team-focused approach
