Cad Design Engineer - Inventor

We’re Hiring: Inventor CAD Design Engineer (SC Cleared) | Reading | UK Defence Sector --- 6 to 12 month contract I’m currently supporting our client in the search for a talented PP&E CAD Design Engineer to join their embedded team delivering critical engineering support to a major UK defence programme. This is a fantastic opportunity to work at the heart of complex manufacturing and operational environments, contributing to the design and delivery of plant, property, and equipment solutions. (PP&E) 🔧 What you’ll be doing: • Designing equipment and providing CAD support using Autodesk Inventor • Supporting manufacturing, production, and facilities teams with practical engineering solutions • Producing high-quality technical drawings, specifications, and documentation • Managing models and data within Autodesk Vault • Collaborating across multidisciplinary teams to deliver project outcomes 🎯 What we’re looking for: • Degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering • Strong experience with Autodesk Inventor • Background in manufacturing, production support, or industrial environments • Knowledge of mechanical systems (piping/pressure systems a plus) • Existing SC Clearance (essential) 🔐 Due to the nature of the work, candidates must hold active SC clearance (or be eligible for transfer). 💡 This role offers the chance to work on highly impactful programmes within a structured, collaborative engineering environment. 📩 If you’re interested—or know someone who might be—please get in touch or apply directly
