Multi Trade Operative – Overview We are currently working with a Heating & Renewable energy company based in Portsmouth area who are looking for a Multi Trade Operative to join the team. The company work in domestic premises throughout Hampshire area installing boilers & renewable energy systems such as Heat Pumps, Solar, Insulation and Ventilation. As a Multi Trade Operative you will also follow round the installation teams who are fitting boilers and heat pumps and you will use your skillset to make good following installations being carried out. This could include brickwork, plastering, painting and more. The company can train you up in various areas that you may not have covered previously such as Solar PV Installation and the installation of ventilation systems. You will also be taking part in installations of Loft Insulation on occasion as well. Often when the company install a Heat Pump, they will upgrade the Loft Insulation too as part of that though this is only a small amount of the job. The majority of the work will be on carpentry, spot plastering, painting, brickwork etc. The company have been operating since 2007 and have grown to become one of the largest installers of Heat Pumps and Solar in the South East of England. They began as more of a traditional plumbing and heating company, installing and maintaining boilers and heating systems in domestic properties. In the last 10 years, they have transitioned very successfully into renewable energy as well, becoming one of the largest installers of Heat Pumps and Solar PV in the South. They complete work for private domestic customers but a lot of their work is also completed under the government ECO schemes such as HUG, RHI, Warm Homes Scheme etc. Of all of the Heat Pumps that have been installed in England under these schemes, they have installed 25% of them, a big number for a medium sized company so punching well above their weight! This will be a mobile role where you will travel to sites throughout their patch, therefore a full UK driving licence is required. Multi Trade Operative – Requirement * Experience with carpentry, plastering, painting, decorating, insulation works, roofing works and general building works * Ability to make good after heat pump & boiler installations * Full UK Driving Licence (less than 6 points) Multi Trade Operative – Salary & Remuneration * Salary of £35,000 - £38,000 * Company Van + Fuel Card * Overtime * Training on Solar & Heat Pumps * 25 days Holiday + BH * Tools, Uniform, PPE * Sick Pay * Pension
