About the Role
We're looking for a reliable and experienced CNC Machinist to join our client's busy engineering operation in West Lothian EH54.
As a CNC Machinist, you'll be responsible to set up of machines to ensure that quality parts are achieved. This will include the operation of machines, inspection of finished products and completion of paperwork for despatch.
This is a varied, hands-on role where no two days are the same. If you have a strong work ethic, take pride in working safely and efficiently, and enjoy being part of a busy team, we'd love to hear from you.
What You'll Be Doing
Responsibilities
Interpret drawings, process sheets and set up of machines .
Complete required documentation as required
Ensure customer specifications are achieved by carrying out checks.
Ensure high standards of parts are delivered
Adhere to safety regulations and best practices while working in the workshop.
Participate in established work processes and participate in continuous improvement.
Follow safe systems of works and legislative requirements
What We're Looking For
Experience in setting and operating machine tools (Manual and CNC)
Knowledge and application of safe working practices
Knowledge and experience in quality systems and procedures
Knowledge of reading and interpreting component drawings and process sheets would be beneficial as well as using variety of precision measuring instruments
Knowledge of machine tool setting procedures
Previous experience of working in a similar engineering environment
High degree of numerical ability
Computer Literate
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
This position is subject to the International Traffic In Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires the jobholder to obtain certain authorisation or security clearances that will require interface with local & US government authorities.
