Financial Accountant

I'm working with a professional services firm in Birmingham that's looking to bring in a Financial Accountant into their Management Accounts team.

This isn't a narrow reporting role it sits right in the middle of the business, where finance meets operations, senior stakeholders, and decision-making.

You'll be involved in the full rhythm of the finance function, from monthly and quarterly management accounts through to budgeting, forecasting, and year-end. Alongside the core reporting cycle, there's plenty of exposure to balance sheet work, technical accounting (FRS 102), audit, and ongoing improvements across systems and processes.
A big part of the role is interaction working closely with Heads of Department, senior leaders, overseas finance teams, and external auditors. It's a good fit for someone who's comfortable being in the detail but also wants to understand what the numbers are actually driving across the wider business. xwzovoh
What they want
ACA (or equivalent) qualified
A couple of years post-qualification experience
Background in professional services (law firm experience would be ideal)
Strong technical accounting knowledge and attention to detail
Someone who communicates well and enjoys working with stakeholders
Exposure to Elite 3E would be a bonus

£60000 - £70000 / year
