Temporary School Caretaker

A busy and welcoming school in Sheffield is looking for an Interim Caretaker to join their site team. Are you the person everyone calls when something needs fixing?

As Interim Caretaker, you'll be the go-to person for keeping the school site safe, secure, and running smoothly. From unlocking the gates in the morning to tackling maintenance issues throughout the day, you'll be a key part of the school's daily operations.Your duties will include:

Opening and securing the school site

Carrying out basic repairs and maintenance

Setting up rooms for meetings, assemblies, exams, and events

Conducting health and safety checks

Monitoring site security and visitor access

Managing deliveries and contractor visits

Supporting compliance and site inspections

Assisting with the overall upkeep of the school premises

Immediate Start Temporary position Full-time hours

We're looking for someone who is reliable, practical, and ready to roll up their sleeves.
You'll ideally have:

Previous caretaker, maintenance, facilities, estates, or site management experience

Basic DIY and repair skills

Knowledge of health and safety procedures
