SEN Primary Teacher - September 2026 Start - Southwark
Are you an experienced SEN primary Teacher looking for a new opportunity for September 2026?Would you enjoy working in a supportive school environment helping children with autism and complex needs thrive?
Remedy are currently working with fantastic SEN school in Southwark who are looking to recruit a passionate SEN Primary Teacher for a September 2026 start. These are rewarding opportunities for teachers who are committed to supporting pupils with ASD and additional complex needs, either within a specialist setting or supporting children across EYFS, KS1, or KS2 in a mainstream environment.
Key Details:Location: SEN school in Southwark Start Date: September 2026Contract: Long term Salary: £200 - £250 per day Hours: Full-timeKey Stages: EYFS, KS1, or KS2
The Role:
- Plan and deliver personalised, engaging lessons tailored to pupils with SEN
- Support children across EYFS, KS1 or KS2 (role flexibility available)
- Create a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment
- Promote pupils' academic, social, and emotional development
- Work closely with SENCOs, class teachers, therapists, and support staff
- Lead classroom routines and contribute to the wider school community
- Ensure high standards of safeguarding and inclusive practice
This is a fantastic opportunity in a school with a strong, supportive leadership teams and a clear focus on pupil wellbeing, progress, and independence. Opportunities are available in both specialist SEN settings and mainstream primary schools, all offering excellent facilities and a nurturing environment. Staff work collaboratively with SENCOs, teachers, and therapists-including Speech & Language and Occupational Therapy professionals-to provide a holistic approach to learning. The schools have built strong relationships with parents and carers and are well-organised, welcoming places to work, with good transport links and on-site parking available.
Requirements:
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
- Experience teaching pupils with SEN, particularly ASD and complex needs
- Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum
- Understanding of early communication and child development
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A patient, adaptable, and positive approach
