Design Engineer

Design Engineer / Watton / £30,000 - £40,000 Position 1 Recruitment is working with a well-established engineering business in Watton to recruit a Design Engineer with strong mechanical design experience. This is a great opportunity to take ownership of the end-to-end design of specialist hazardous area heating systems, working on technically challenging projects within a supportive engineering team. Full-Time Permanent Monday–Thursday: 08:30 – 17:30 AND Friday: Half day Hybrid working: 3 days office / 2 days home (post-probation) Key Responsibilities: * Design hazardous area heaters from concept to completion * Produce 3D models and detailed drawings using Autodesk Inventor * Complete engineering calculations and technical design documentation * Create and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) * Ensure all designs meet certification standards and client requirements * Support Project Managers with technical input and project updates * Verify engineering drawings and documentation for accuracy and compliance * Liaise with document controllers, suppliers, and subcontractors * Monitor project time allocation and support efficiency improvements * Contribute to continuous improvement and standard product development * Support and mentor junior/trainee engineers where required You will have: * Degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) * Experience in mechanical design engineering * Proficient in Autodesk Inventor or similar 3D CAD software For more information, contact Aiste at (phone number removed) This position is not eligible for sponsorship with this company
