About the role

Aka Recruitment are proud to be working with a leading automotive client to bring you this Vehicle Technician / Mechanic role based in Northallerton. This is a full-time, permanent position offering a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established and highly respected business within the UK automotive sector. Working Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm, with 1 in 3 Saturdays (8:30am – 12:30pm), this role offers a great balance alongside strong earning potential. A competitive basic salary is on offer depending on experience, with an uncapped OTE of up to £52,480, including bonus schemes. Our client operates across multiple sites and represents a wide range of manufacturer brands, offering excellent career progression opportunities, including manufacturer training and hybrid/electric vehicle accreditation. Job Duties Include: Servicing and repairs on a range of brands Carrying out vehicle health checks using the latest technology Removal and refitting of mechanical components Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs efficiently Conducting inspections and identifying additional work where required Ensure all work is carried out to manufacturer standards Ensure all equipment and workshop is maintained and cleaned All work completed in line with safe working practices Requirements: Qualified at Level 3 (NVQ or City & Guilds) or equivalent MOT Testing licence is advantageous but not essential Own tools Experience working across a range of vehicles Full UK Licence with no more than 6 points Reasons to apply for this role: Uncapped earning potential with bonus schemes Ongoing manufacturer training including hybrid/EV qualifications Clear career progression opportunities Stable and supportive working environment Opportunity to work with a large, reputable automotive group Due to continued growth, you will be joining a busy and professional workshop, working alongside experienced technicians and receiving ongoing support from management.
