NRSWA Inspector

Contract: Full-time, 3 months
Rate: £17.30 £25.00 per hour (DOE)

We are looking for an experienced NRSWA Inspector to monitor and inspect street works, ensuring compliance with NRSWA legislation and permit schemes. Youll help maintain a safe and efficient highway network by overseeing utility and contractor activities.

• Carry out Category A, B & C inspections of street works
• Monitor utility works and ensure compliance with NRSWA and SROH standards
• Identify and report defects; agree remedial actions with utilities
• Ensure site safety compliance (Chapter 8 & Red Book) and shut down unsafe works
• Verify NRSWA accreditation of site operatives
• Record inspections using handheld devices
• Liaise with contractors, utilities, and the public
• Support coordination of street works and respond to queries/complaints

• NRSWA Accreditation (Supervisor level)

• Knowledge of NRSWA, TMA, Highways Act, and Street Manager
• Experience in highways/street works inspections or similar role
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• IT literate
• Full clean UK driving licence

Desirable: Highways Inspector accreditation, CSCS card, utilities/highways experience
