Job Title: Zone Manager (North London)
Overview Working for one of Europe's largest bank owned automotive finance providers.
PURPOSE SUMMARY: The Zone Manager will be responsible for the sale and promotion of all automotive finance products and services into the respective geographic zone.
Responsible for achievement of targets within the territory and for management and development of retailers.
To identify new business opportunities and provide workable profitable solutions to maximise these opportunities.
To provide finance solutions for the respective retailers, ensuring growth in profitability and penetrations, and to develop all aspects of the Finance and Insurance process and development within the geographic zone.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. To maximise volume and profit opportunities within all areas of the geographic zone, working with respective retailers in providing workable profitable solutions for the respective customers. To be responsible for achieving the zone objectives as provided by the Regional Sales Manager.
2. To maximise opportunities for the sale of additional products and services to retail customers proposed by the retailers in the zone.
3. To maximise opportunities for the sale of all value added products including GAP, SMART Insurance, EV Charge, Warranty and Service Plans.
4. To work with respective retailers on contract renewals with a view to maximising performance in this area.
5. To identify and implement Finance and Insurance Development Programmes with respective retailers incorporating Health Checks and Reviews. To provide training and development solutions as a consequence of the review in partnership with the retailer.
6. Implement above recommendations through recruitment, training, Finance and Insurance monitoring, structuring pay plans and incentives with retailer senior personnel.
7. To agree participation in any promoted incentive programs with retailers to maintain a profitable solution to all partners in the business
8. To provide expert and prompt advice to the retailer network regarding the various insurance products supplied.
9. To identify and maximise business from new markets which will improve penetrations and profitability.
10. To identify and promote new wholesale finance opportunities and provide workable solutions to maximise these opportunities through the retailer network. To complement and develop existing retail and wholesale products including the launch of new products into the respective retailers by providing all necessary training and support.
11. Production of detailed business plans for the designated territory outlining development actions and actions for achieving objectives.
12. Reporting and monitoring of key performance areas via management systems (accept rates, pay - out ratios etc. Zone forecasting to be completed and submitted on a weekly basis.
13. Completion of Retailer Reviews and the monitoring of performance targets within the territory.
14. Training retailers to be competent with systems and processes. Ensuring that system changes and enhancements are communicated and understood fully by retailers.
15. Preparation and presentation of retailer pricings.
16. To identify and develop new business channels, including but not limited to motor car, motorcycle, leisure and broker channels. To work cooperatively with the Business Development Team and make suitable qualified referrals to them.
17. To participate in cross-functional business projects as and when required, with the aim of delivering value to the business.
18. To actively participate in departmental meetings.
19. To adhere to the Financial Conduct Authority and Office of Fair Trading regulations and requirements.
KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS:
Educated to at least A level standard or equivalent. An in depth knowledge of retail finance products. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint and Word. The ability to train groups of staff. Ability to present to retailers in relation to all aspects of F&I including staff coaching. Excellent interpersonal skills. Good verbal and written communication skills. A high degree of self-motivation and time management skills. xwzovoh The ability to manage own diary & prioritise.
