Starting negotiations, overseeing tenders this is not a run-of-the-mill PO processing role, this is a chance to make something.
If you enjoy being organised, solving problems and making sure the right goods and services are in place at the right time, this Procurement role could be a great fit.
Were looking for someone who has:
Experience in a similar procurement, purchasing or assistant buyer role.
Confidence with IT, including Excel and ERP.
Strong communication skills, not afraid to probe deeper and keep asking questions.
Experience supporting end users and ensuring compliance with purchasing procedures
Experience gathering, analysing and interpreting data (tenders, KPIs, spend reports, market comparisons) would be a bonus.
Commercial awareness with the ability to research options and secure the best price and quality.
Strong attention to detail, high numeracy and excellent written and spoken English.
Confidence in communicating and building relationships with internal teams and external suppliers.
You are:
Highly organised and comfortable juggling multiple requests from different departments.
Calm under pressure, able to prioritise when deadlines are tight.
Methodical and accurate, with a sharp eye for detail.
Commercially aware and naturally curious about costs, suppliers and better ways of doing things.
Proactive you dont wait to be chased, you stay on top of orders from placement through to delivery.
A team player who enjoys working closely with technical, engineering and supply chain colleagues.
