Multi-Skilled Engineer (Night Shift) Peterborough £55,000 + Attractive Package An established and growing international food manufacturing business is seeking a Multi-Skilled Engineer to join its engineering team on a permanent night shift. Operating within a modern, fast-paced production environment, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer looking to work with advanced processing and packaging equipment while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. The Role Working on a 4 on / 4 off night shift pattern, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability and performance of production equipment. You'll be responsible for both reactive and planned maintenance across a range of automated machinery. Key responsibilities include: * Carrying out electrical and mechanical maintenance to minimise downtime * Responding to breakdowns and implementing effective fault-finding solutions * Completing planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules * Supporting installation and commissioning of new equipment * Updating maintenance records via CMMS systems * Working closely with production teams to optimise performance * Assisting with continuous improvement and project work About You * Multi-skilled with both electrical and mechanical competence * NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Engineering * Experience within a manufacturing or FMCG environment * Strong fault-finding skills and ability to work independently * Familiarity with PLCs, inverters, and automated systems (advantageous) * Experience using CMMS systems * 18th Edition wiring regulations (desirable) What's on Offer * Salary circa £55,000 * 4 on / 4 off permanent night shift pattern * Matched pension scheme * Additional benefits package * Opportunity to work within a growing, international business * Ongoing training and development opportunities This role would suit a proactive engineer who thrives in a hands-on environment and is looking to develop within a forward-thinking organisation.
