Site installation engineer

Location: Banbury Salary: £32,000 - £38,000 Depending on experience Hours: Monday-Thursday 07:00-16:00, Friday 07:00-14:00 (8.5 hrs/day) Overtime: Overtime at 1.3x We are currently recruiting for a Site Installation Engineer on behalf of a well‑established British manufacturer specialising in bespoke stainless‑steel commercial catering equipment. Due to continued growth and increased project demand, our client is looking to expand their installation team. The Role This is a hands‑on installation position working on commercial kitchen ventilation systems and associated stainless‑steel equipment. The role involves UK‑wide travel and occasional overnight stays, supporting the installation and completion of the company's Vortex range of commercial ventilation canopies. Key responsibilities include: Assisting with the installation of commercial ventilation canopies and associated equipment Working under the instruction of the Installation Team Leader and Operations Director Travelling across the UK to customer sites (occasional overseas work) Ensuring installations are completed safely, efficiently, and to specification Reading and interpreting engineering drawings Reporting issues, defects, or delays to the project team Working flexible hours when required to meet site deadlines Supporting additional duties within your skill set as neededRequirements Essential: Full, clean UK driving licence Willingness to travel nationwide and work occasional unsociable hours Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong work ethic and professional attitude Good understanding of basic engineering or installation practicesDesirable: Experience installing ductwork or commercial canopies CSCS card for site work Background in fabrication, fitting, or mechanical installationWhat's on Offer Competitive salary (£32,000 - £38,000) Overtime at Time + 1/3 Standard holiday and benefits package Career progression opportunities Training to develop additional shop‑floor skills Stable, long‑term role within a growing business Should you require any support or assistance, please contact your local Gi Group office.
