About the role
The Head of UK Development will lead and grow annual income from UK donors to support Alpha's global mission. You will develop and deliver a sustainable UK fundraising strategy, building a strong long term pipeline of income across major, mid level and base giving.

Responsibilities- Lead and deliver Alpha International's UK fundraising strategy and annual plans
- Develop and grow the UK major donor programme, including multi year commitments
- Manage a personal portfolio of major donors giving £10k+ per year
- Prospect and secure new major donors through networking, referrals and peer to peer connections
- Lead and support team members delivering mid level and base giving programmes
- Partner with senior leaders to steward relationships with high net worth individuals, trusts and organisations
- Plan and deliver donor events in the UK, including the UK donor experience at Leadership Conference
- Coordinate donor engagement with the HTB Group Fundraising Committee
- Lead fundraising collaboration in the UK alongside the Alpha UK regional team
- Committed and passionate about the vision and mission of Alpha and HTB Group
- Available to travel throughout the UK as required
- 5 years' in fundraising with experience of major donor development within the charity sector or comparable experience in raising funds in a similar field working with high net worth clients (e.g. investments / wealth management)
- Experience and knowledge of income generation and the development of a donor base through fundraising communications.
- A track record of strategy design, management and delivery with multiple stakeholders including senior executives
- Planning and running events to achieve strategic outcomes with high net worth donors or clients
- Highly organised and disciplined with planning and follow up in relationship development and management
- Team leadership and/or line management experience
- A high calibre communicator with excellent written and verbal skills
