Job Title: Head of Business Start Date: September 2026 (or earlier by negotiation) Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent Salary: MPS/UPS + TLR (dependent on experience) About the Role: We are seeking a driven and forward-thinking Head of Business to lead and develop our Business Studies provision. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious educator or experienced middle leader to shape a high-quality, relevant curriculum that prepares students for the modern world of work, enterprise, and entrepreneurship. The successful candidate will lead the subject across Key Stages 4 and 5 (with potential to contribute to Key Stage 3), delivering engaging lessons and ensuring strong outcomes for all students. Key Responsibilities: Lead, manage, and develop the Business Studies curriculum to ensure outstanding teaching and learning Deliver high-quality lessons that inspire students and develop real-world business understanding Drive student achievement and monitor progress across all key stages Develop enrichment opportunities such as enterprise projects, trips, and partnerships with local businesses Support and develop staff within the department Contribute to whole-school improvement and curriculum innovation The Ideal Candidate Will: Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent Have experience teaching Business Studies at secondary level (KS4/KS5) Demonstrate strong leadership and organisational skills Be passionate about enterprise, finance, and preparing students for future careers Have a track record of strong student outcomes Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people What We Offer: A forward-thinking and ambitious school environment Supportive leadership and opportunities for career progression Excellent facilities and resources A strong commitment to staff wellbeing and professional development
