Fabricator  Company: Pertemps Location: Wolverhampton Pay Rate: £16.00 – £17.00 per hour Hours: Monday to Friday, up to 40 hours per week (07:00 – 17:00) Job Overview: Pertemps are currently recruiting for an experienced Fabricator / Steel Operative to join a well-established manufacturing business in Wolverhampton. This is a hands-on role working with a variety of steel fabrication machinery and equipment. Key Responsibilities: Operate cutting machinery including laser cutters, plasma cutters, oxy-fuel torches, shearing machines, and band saws Use forming and shaping equipment such as press brakes, plate rollers, stamping presses, and ironworkers Carry out machining tasks using CNC milling machines, lathes, drill presses, and surface grinders Perform welding duties using MIG, TIG, and stick welding equipment Handle materials safely using overhead cranes, forklifts, and hoisting equipment Complete finishing tasks including grinding, sandblasting, polishing, and applying coatings Read and interpret technical drawings and work to precise measurements Maintain a clean and safe working environment in line with health and safety regulations Requirements: Previous experience in steel fabrication or a similar role Ability to operate a range of fabrication machinery Welding experience (MIG/TIG preferred) Good understanding of engineering drawings Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to work independently and as part of a team What’s on Offer: Competitive hourly rate of £16.00 – £17.00 Stable, full-time hours with early starts and finishes Opportunity to work with a reputable company through Pertemps If you are a skilled fabricator looking for your next opportunity, apply now to join a busy and growing team in Wolverhampton
